Amira C. - Tampa, FL - February, 2009

I am 23 years old and I was born and raised in Australia. I moved to the U.S. when I was 19 years old. In Australia I had two teeth that needed root canals. I was in a lot of pain for a long time. After a lot of miserable nights and lots of pain my father finally took me to the dentist. We saw a few dentists and they told my father it would be around $1,000 per tooth. My father refused to pay that much and told me I had to deal with the pain.

When I moved to the U.S., I wasn’t in pain anymore. A few months later the pain started again and I didn’t have insurance and I didn’t work. I came on a visa and was applying for another visa to stay. During the process with immigration, I was in pain. I couldn’t eat at all. I had lost so much weight.

After one year of being in the United States, I finally got my visa and was allowed to work. I got a Social Security Number; I got my license and a $1,000 car which my mom paid for from Australia. For months I looked for a job, but it was really hard finding a job since I didn’t have experience here. I finally got a job at a law firm as a legal assistant. I have a college degree I earned in Australia, where my major was Paralegal. At my job they offered health insurance but they did not offer dental insurance. All this time I was in pain. I started to save my money because it was going to cost between $1,200- $1,400 for a root canal. While I waited, I would take Advil or Motrin to ease the pain.

I did a lot of research online about dental insurance and it was too expensive. Then I found DentalPlans.com. I asked co-workers about it and they all told me that I wouldn’t save any money and that it wasn’t worth it. I didn’t listen; I called the toll-free number and spoke to a representative. I asked so many questions and the plans sounded really great, but everyone told me at my job “When something sounds too good, then it isn’t true.” After a couple of days, still in pain, I looked online again and pulled up some plans. I called again and spoke with a customer representative. I finally got the Aetna Dental Plan. I paid $99.99 for a year plan membership. I got my two root canals done, paying only $1,400, or $700 each. I saved over $1,000.

After that, I went to a general dentist and had all of my teeth checked out. There were a few minor problems that I fixed. I have told everyone about DentalPlans.com and I know many people who now have a discount dental plan. There are so many people who tell me how they struggle to pay for dental care. I have referred DentalPlans.com to many people. I love my plan, and all of my teeth are fixed. I will always refer and recommend DentalPlans.com.

My granddaughter needed to save money at the dentist office. I recommended Dental Plans .com and she was thrilled. She saved 50% off of the dentist's normal price. Thanks!

Tracey - Scotia, NY - November, 2008

My plan has paid for itself many times over in just ten months. I saved over $1,000 on cleanings, fillings and wisdom tooth extraction. This plan is amazing. My family can finally get the dental care they need at the great dentist offices in my area. I no longer have to worry about paying off dental work for years. I recommend this plan to everyone, it's fantastic!

I used to skip dental visits as long as my teeth looked and felt fine. So basically, I was teaching my children that dental care was important, but I wasn’t taking my own advice.

One day a co-worker mentioned how she found a discount dental plan online for people without insurance on DentalPlans.com. She printed it up for me and after looking at the savings I would have for cleanings, crowns and all dental work it took me no time at all to fill out the information and join a plan. My cleanings are now every six months, and I don’t hesitate to keep up with any dental work that needs to be done to keep my teeth healthy.

After my husband and I retired several years ago, we were on our own as far as dental health costs were concerned. Limited funds kept us from getting our regular checkups and other dental work we needed. A friend told us about Dental Plans.com and we decided to enroll immediately. We have saved over $100 this year alone with the discounts from our plan. We will continue to take advantage of our good fortune by renewing our membership and we are very happy with the newsletters and special promotions that are offered. Any senior who is looking for a good dental service needs to check out DentalPlans.com.

My husband has always taken very good care of his teeth and he never needed any bridge work or any restorative work except the occasional filling. Unfortunately, when he turned 75 his teeth began to crack. We were dismayed to learn that he would need a $4000 bridge at age 79. He wanted to simply extract the broken tooth and live with the gap in his chewing surfaces to avoid this cost. After much discussion, we found that we could have the repair done by a dentist in our area for $1000 less using a DentalPlans.com discount dental plan.

My husband is very happy with his smile and the fact that he can chew his food completely. I joined the family plan and I have found the service and the dentist to be top notch. We are saving money and not sacrificing good dental care. This is one worry off our minds.

The Cigna plan from DentalPlans.com has saved my family a lot of money. We never did join dental plans at our place of employment because family plans too expensive. We still went to the dentist at least one time a year for cleanings, and we were paying full price out of pocket.

One day our dentist informed us about Cigna through DentalPlans.com. We looked into it and I was pleased to see all the choices, the low fees and the additional savings on vision care and other features. We joined and everyone was so helpful and it was such an easy process. Now we go to the dentist and save money at the same time thanks to our discounted prices.

I wish more people knew about DentalPlans.com or that employers were required to tell them about it. We have been with your company for quite a while and you are awesome. We like our dentist and it makes it much better knowing that we are saving money. We'll be with you for a good while and we thank you all very, very much.

Until four years ago I had dental coverage via my husband's union where he was employed. Once our divorce was final, that coverage ceased, of course. Initially, I paid the full price for my dental visits until the cashier at my office suggested I look into various dental plans, and provided me with the DentalPlans.com website to explore the options. I did, and I am so glad! The plan I chose is very reasonable, and I'm so grateful that I now save about 50% of the cost of my dental care. I have early signs of periodontitis and it is wise for me to take preventive steps with fluoride treatments, scaling, etc. Because of the savings I receive from my plan, I can afford to have these procedures; thereby preserving my teeth and hopefully never losing them, or at least not as early as my parents did.

I have always been a thrifty person. My parents survived the Great Depression and I was raised to make use of everything, learning many money-saving skills from my mother. Though what our economy is experiencing is not called the Great Depression, it still requires us to stretch our dollars as much as possible. I'm hoping to retire in three years, so I am watchful with my spending and the dental plan coverage assists me in making the most of every dollar.

Thank you DentalPlans.com!

James A. - Keaau, HI - November, 2008

I'm James and I’m very much enjoying life at 58 years old. My dental story is one that is familiar to many of us. Although I kept good hygiene throughout the years, I failed to go for regular visits to the dentist. Instead, I put off seeing the dentist until it became a matter I could not ignore any longer. After a complete checkup with x-rays, the dentist explained a couple of ways we could go about restoring the condition of my teeth. I realized it was going to be expensive no matter how I chose to go. I finally decided that since I intend to live a long and happy life, I'd better get my dental work done right. But before going ahead, I contacted DentalPlans.com to find a discount dental plan that would work for my needs and that my dentist already belonged to. I am now just finishing up $12,000 worth of dental care and have saved at least $5,000 that I would have had to pay on top of the $12,000. I have paid $105 for a dental plan that has saved me $5,000 - not too bad of a deal!

Debra D. - West Palm Beach, FL - November, 2008

I have been on one of your dental plans for two years now and I can't say enough great things about it.

The money I save on my two yearly cleanings pays for the plan and I have saved over $600 each year, as I have had two crowns in the last two years. I think this plan is excellent and everyone should have it! Even my dentist’s office can't believe how little I pay and how great the savings are with this plan.

I am just so happy that my mother found this plan for me because my job does not cover dental and it is very important for your overall health to take care of your teeth and gums. I love this plan and can not say enough wonderful things about it and all the financial help it gives me. I just wanted to say thank you for having a plan like this out here for a single person like me and everyone else who does not have a dental plan.

Thank you for making this affordable plan available to individuals who do not have a dental plan. It saves me money each year and even if I did not have a problem, I still break even with the amount I save on my regular check-ups. I can't see any reason for anyone not to become a member on this plan. It is awesome! Thank you for this opportunity to share my feelings about this great plan.
